On the occasion of the 2022 #InternationalWomenDay, and as part of the series Voices of Women at IHES, discover here the testimony of Jennifer Chayes, an American mathematician and physicist, Associate Provost of the new division of Computing, Data Science and Society at the University of California, Berkeley, Dean of the School Information and Professor in Mathematics, Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences, Information and Statistics. Previously, she was Technical Fellow and managing Director of Microsoft Research New England that she founded in 2008 and Microsoft Research New York that she founded in 2012. She has received many distinctions, the latest being elected as member of the National Academy of Sciences.
