February 11 was declared by the United Nations as the International Day of Women and Girls in Science, whose aim is to achieve equal access to and participation in science for women and girls, and reach gender equality and the empowerment of women and girls.
To mark this important date and celebrate women in science, today we share another interview of the series “Voices of women at IHES“, which collects testimonies from women related to the Institute: previous and current visitors, as well as female scientists currently at IHES or connected to the Institute.
Discover below the testimony of Delaram Kahrobaei, Iranian-American, currently Dean for Research at The City University of New York, and Chair of Cyber Security at the University of York (UK) at the time of our interview.
In this video, Prof. Kahrobaei shares her passion for mathematics. She also tells us about the New York Women in Mathematics and Computing Network she founded.
