The 2021 Friends of IHES Gala on Women in Fundamental Research took place on November 16, and it was a great celebration of women in science, technology and finance.

Ardian, a private investment house with $120 bn of assets under management, is among the sponsors of this year’s gala supporting diversity in STEM, and more particularly at IHES. Ardian’s goal is to build strong, resilient companies that will earn long-term returns for its investors and make positive contribution to society.  

Dominique Senequier, President of Ardian, recorded a personal message to the gala guests, as well as all the members of the Institute’s community, in which she talks about her experience as one of the first women graduating from the prestigious Ecole Polytechnique, and then becoming a successful business woman, with a commitment to making Ardian a diverse and inclusive workplace. Senequier also shares what she thinks are some of the main actions that can be taken to make science more inclusive.
